Nišville Jazz Festival announces award winners and program details

The 32nd Nišville Jazz Festival, taking place from August 13 to 16, has announced its official award recipients. Renowned clarinetist and saxophonist Paquito D’Rivera will receive the ‘Car Konstantin’ award for his contribution to jazz. D’Rivera, a sixteen-time Grammy winner, is recognized for his work in both classical and Latin jazz.

In addition to the main jazz program, the festival will feature a hip-hop stage and a Midnight stage. Due to the festival not receiving funding from the Ministry of Culture for the second consecutive year, director Ivan Blagojević confirmed that entry to the hip-hop and Midnight programs will cost 500 dinars per night. The hip-hop lineup includes performers such as Mikri Maus, Nemus, and the group C-YA, with DJ sets continuing after midnight.
