Nivin Pauly discusses 'BKU' success and Bollywood offers

Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has addressed the record-breaking success of his film 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' (BKU), which has reportedly grossed over Rs 331 crore worldwide. Directed by Girish AD and co-starring Mamitha Baiju, the romantic comedy has become the highest-grossing release in Mollywood, surpassing the previous record held by 'Lokah: Chapter 1'.

Pauly noted that the film's success challenges the notion that high budgets and grand scales are required to break box-office records. He attributed the performance to the film's emotional connection with audiences and its ability to provide stress relief.

In recent interviews, Pauly also revealed that he was previously offered a role in the 2019 Bollywood film 'Chhichhore' but declined due to existing commitments in Malayalam cinema. He expressed an interest in exploring Hindi cinema in the future. His upcoming projects include a comedy titled 'NP51' directed by Nashid Mohamed Famy, and a role in a Tamil film titled 'Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai'.
