NK Čaporice-Trilj announces protest over stadium dispute in Trilj

The football club NK Čaporice-Trilj has announced a peaceful protest for September 28 following a dispute over home match venues. The club claims that its youth players and senior team are unable to play official matches in Trilj because the Luke Sports Center was allocated to NK Trilj 2001, while the pitch in Čaporice does not meet the required dimensions for official competition. Consequently, the club has been forced to play home games in Sinj, Glavice, and Dugopolje.

Trilj Mayor Ivan Bugarin has responded to the accusations, defending the city's decisions as legal and transparent. Bugarin stated that the city has provided significant financial support to the club for medical exams, transport, and membership fee waivers. He noted that funds are allocated in the budget to expand the Čaporice pitch to meet official standards. The Mayor also addressed previous proposals to merge the two local clubs, claiming the city's decisions regarding stadium management were published in the Official Gazette.
