Široki Brijeg defeats NK Čelik Zenica 2-1 in Zenica

NK Široki Brijeg secured a 2-1 victory against NK Čelik Zenica in the second round of the WWin league of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The match, held at Bilino polje, was attended by approximately 10,000 spectators, marking Čelik's return to the top tier after six seasons.

Široki Brijeg took an early lead in the 40th minute through a header by Bartul Markovina following a corner. Čelik responded in the 61st minute when Aldin Hrvanović scored after a solo run by Siamija to equalize. However, David Virgili Fernandez secured the win for the visitors with a skillful strike in the 83rd minute.

Following the match, Široki Brijeg coach Damir Milanović praised the character of his young squad, noting that he focused heavily on psychological preparation to help them handle the intense atmosphere in Zenica. Čelik remains without points after two rounds.
