Gorica and Rijeka draw 0-0 in HNL match delayed by floodlights

NK Gorica and HNK Rijeka played to a 0-0 draw in the fifth round of the SuperSport HNL. The match, held in Velika Gorica, was delayed by approximately 30 minutes due to technical issues with the stadium's floodlights.

Rijeka controlled much of the possession and created several opportunities, including attempts by Samuele Vignato and Toni Fruk, but failed to convert. Gorica, playing for their first point of the season, maintained a compact defense. Their best chance came in the 85th minute when Patrik Mijić shot over the bar from close range.

Rijeka remains in fifth place with seven points, while Gorica stays at the bottom of the league table. Following the match, Rijeka coach Matjaž Kek expressed dissatisfaction with his team's lack of creativity and ability to break down defensive blocks, noting a deficiency in players capable of winning one-on-one situations.
