NK Lokomotiva Zagreb wins Nikola Pokrivač Memorial Tournament
NK Lokomotiva Zagreb won the second edition of the Nikola Pokrivač Memorial Tournament held in Vojnić. Organized by NK Vojnić ’95, the tournament honors the memory of the late Croatian international and club member who passed away in a tragic accident last year.
Thirteen teams participated in the event, representing clubs where Pokrivač previously played or coached. The competition featured youth players born in 2014 or later, including talent from six top-tier Croatian clubs. In the final match, Lokomotiva Zagreb defeated NK Varaždin to secure the title.
Slaven Belupo claimed third place after defeating HNK Rijeka. Individual honors included Matko Kurilić from Lokomotiva Zagreb being named the tournament's best player, Deni Škorić as the top scorer, and Jan Paškuljević from Varaždin as the best goalkeeper.
