Football updates: NK Maribor wins in Slovenia and draws in Serbia

In the Serbian First League, the fifth round saw several notable results. Teleoptik maintained an undefeated streak following a 1-1 draw against Smederevo, where Nikola Kodžić scored first for the hosts before Vojin Marinković equalized. In Zrenjanin, Proleter 023 secured their first win of the season by overturning a deficit to defeat Grafičar. Additionally, the derby between Spartak and Javor ended in a 2-2 draw, with Spartak narrowly avoiding a loss thanks to a late goal-line intervention by Vladimir Desnica.

In the Slovenian Prva liga Telemach, NK Maribor secured their third victory of the season with a 3-1 comeback win against Bravo at Ljudski vrt. Despite Bravo taking an early lead through Divine Omoregie, Maribor responded in the second half with goals from Tio Cipotin, an own goal by Lan Štravsin, and a strike from Dario Vizinger. Maribor coach Darko Milanič described the victory as “completely deserved” following the team's improved performance in the second half.
