ŽNK Mura hosts UEFA Women's Champions League qualifier against Farul Constanța in Murska Sobota

Slovenian champions ŽNK Mura opened a UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying tournament at the Fazanerija stadium in Murska Sobota, facing Romanian title‑holders Farul Constanța. The win would move the team into the third decisive round of the competition. After winning the domestic double last season, Mura entered the tournament with a new head coach, Ivan Dizdar, who replaced Vladimir Kokol. The squad features several key players, including veteran striker Mateja Zver, forward Adrijana Mori, midfielder Špela Gerbec, Dutch midfielder Dominique Bruinenberg, English forward Dolcie O’Connor and Montenegrin midfielder Ivana Boričić.

The event also includes a semi‑final between Austria Wien and Hajduk Split, with the winners of the Mura–Farul match and the other semi‑final advancing to the next qualification stage. Mura aims to build on its domestic success and secure a place among Europe’s elite clubs.
