NK Olimpija Ljubljana eyes new season with coach Trenčovski and Bristić move

NK Olimpija Ljubljana has appointed Jugoslav Trenčovski as its new head coach. Trenčovski emphasized the club’s history, the quality of the squad and the need for a positive, supportive environment to achieve a top‑table finish. He highlighted the importance of fan backing and the development of young players.

At the same time, 23‑year‑old Bosnian striker Admir Bristić is set to leave Olimpija for English side Leicester City. The transfer, valued between €1.7 million and €2 million, awaits a medical examination. Bristić, who scored 15 goals in 30 appearances last season, will join the former 2016 Premier League champion as the club seeks to strengthen its attack.

Both developments signal Olimpija’s intent to rebuild and compete strongly in the upcoming Slovenian league campaign.
