NK Osijek reshapes squad as eight players depart and new signings arrive
Croatian club NK Osijek announced the departure of eight players after a disappointing 2025‑26 season that saw the team finish ninth in the SuperSport HNL and miss the cup quarter‑finals. The list includes veteran left‑back Borna Barišić, defender Renan Guedes, striker Kemal Ademi, forward Samuel Akere, midfielder Vladan Bubanja, full‑backs David Čolina and Fran Karačić, and attacking midfielder Tonio Teklić. The club also detailed its recent turmoil, with three coaching changes, delayed salaries, a reshuffle of the board and speculation about a possible sale, which the new president Alexandra Végh dismissed.
At the same time, the city's futsal side Osijek Kandit continued its roster rebuild, adding three newcomers – Victor Lima, Slovenian youth international Lovro Trdin and Brazilian prospect Ronaldinho junior – and most recently signing 26‑year‑old Brazilian Yuri Madruga from Serbia’s Loznica Grad. Club president Tomislav Ciković said, “Više‑mange smo ostvarili sve ciljeve koje smo si postavili na planu transfera ovog ljeta,” emphasizing the focus on younger talent to replace older players. Osijek Kandit also retained several domestic players and will compete in the upcoming Supercup of the SuperSport HMNL.
