ŽNK Radomlje Medex secures derby win and UEFA European Cup draw

ŽNK Radomlje Medex opened their domestic league season with a derby victory against ŽNK Olimpija. Maša Osojnik scored the decisive goal following an assist from Mirjam Kastelec to secure the win for the team led by coach Matej Rožič Mavrič.

Following this domestic success, the club has been drawn against Norwegian side Vålerenga in the first round of the UEFA Women's European Cup. Vålerenga is a highly experienced opponent, holding a high UEFA coefficient and having previously competed in the group stages of the Champions League against clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus, and Bayern Munich. Coach Rožič Mavrič noted the difficulty of the matchup due to the opponent's competitive rhythm and international experience but expressed a determination to remain competitive on the European stage.
