NK Rijeka trains and secures two‑year deal with Amer Gojak

After a second victory in pre‑season friendlies, NK Rijeka held a morning training session during which players Vignato, Iankov and Todorović worked separately on injury rehabilitation. Vignato reports knee discomfort, Iankov has a shoulder issue expected to heal quickly, and Todorović suffered a minor muscle strain.

Club captain Amer Gojak signed a new two‑year contract, stating: “I’m proud and happy to continue my story in Rijeka. I will give my all as before and hope we achieve great things together this season.” The team will travel back from Kranjska Gora to play a third friendly against Radomlje on Friday at 18:00 in the Sports Park of Radomlje, again without spectators.

Coach Matjaž Kek emphasized a fast‑moving, possession‑oriented style, rejecting “ball‑smothering” and slow play. New signings Puljić and Ćubelić were highlighted as part of the squad’s depth. Overall, the club reported no serious injuries and aims to maintain a demanding training regime ahead of the upcoming season.
