NK Rijeka trains and secures two‑year deal with Amer Gojak

After a second victory in pre‑season friendlies, NK Rijeka held a morning training session during which players Vignato, Iankov and Todorović worked separately on injury rehabilitation. Vignato reports knee discomfort, Iankov has a shoulder issue expected to heal quickly, and Todorović suffered a minor muscle strain.

Club captain Amer Gojak signed a new two‑year contract, stating: “I’m proud and happy to continue my story in Rijeka. I will give my all as before and hope we achieve great things together this season.” The team will travel back from Kranjska Gora to play a third friendly against Radomlje on Friday at 18:00 in the Sports Park of Radomlje, again without spectators.

Coach Matjaž Kek emphasized a fast‑moving, possession‑oriented style, rejecting “ball‑smothering” and slow play. New signings Puljić and Ćubelić were highlighted as part of the squad’s depth.
