Nkechi Blessing and Phyna to settle rivalry in boxing match

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and reality TV star Josephina Otabor, known as Phyna, are scheduled to face each other in a boxing match on October 1, 2026. The bout, titled ‘Phyna vs Nkechi’, is part of the ‘Chaos in the Ring’ event organized by Balmoral Group Promotions in Lagos.

The match follows a series of public disagreements and a heated face-to-face confrontation at the studio of media personality Morayo Brown. During the studio incident, which was captured on video, tensions escalated as the two entertainers clashed, requiring intervention from Brown and others to prevent further chaos.

Balmoral Group Promotions CEO Ezekiel Adamu stated that the promotion utilizes existing celebrity rivalries to drive interest. This upcoming match marks the first in the series to feature female celebrity fighters.
