Nkom initiates plan to simplify internet provider switching

The Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) has launched an initiative to simplify the process of switching internet service providers. The goal is to develop a common solution that allows customers to change providers without losing internet access during the transition.

Digitalization and Management Minister Karianne Tung stated that making it easier to switch will foster better competition, as customers can more easily seek better or cheaper offers. Industry players will lead the development of this shared solution, with Nkom acting as a sparring partner to ensure the process is faster and more seamless for users.
