Nkoranza and Mo traditional areas reach peace agreement

The Nkoranza and Mo traditional areas in Ghana’s Bono East Region have reached a peace agreement to resolve a long-standing dispute over land boundaries and related traditional matters. The settlement follows a mediation session on September 15, 2026, involving the paramount chiefs of both areas, the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, and Nick Danso Adjei of Ghana Link Network Services Limited.

Under the agreement, traditional leaders committed to ending the protracted conflict, restoring peaceful relations, and withdrawing associated court cases. The dispute had previously led to violent clashes and strained community relations. The parties noted that the resolution aims to foster stability for farming, commerce, and investment while rebuilding trust through dialogue rather than litigation.
