NKUA and Mazí gia to Paidi launch STEM education program
Mazí gia to Paidi, in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), is launching a new cycle of its ‘STEM Education & Soft Skills’ program for the 2026–2027 school year. The initiative will take place at the Marasleio Didaskaleio.
The program offers free participation to 48 students from the 5th and 6th grades of primary school and the 1st and 2nd grades of junior high school, representing 30 public schools in Attica. It aims to introduce adolescents to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through experiential and play-based activities that combine theory with practice.
In addition to technical training, the program emphasizes the development of 35 soft skills, including cooperation, emotional management, decision-making, and critical thinking. The sessions will be held in the laboratories of the NKUA Department of Primary Education under the guidance of specialized educators and academic partners. The program is supported by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and GEK Terna, with PepsiCo providing refreshments.
