NLE Choppa addresses custody dispute during son's third birthday

Rapper NLE Choppa has publicly addressed an ongoing custody dispute with Marissa Da’Nae during a social media post celebrating their son Chozen’s third birthday. The 23-year-old artist clarified that he is not seeking full custody, but is instead fighting for joint custody to establish a court-ordered schedule free from outside influence.

In his emotional statement, Choppa denied allegations of being a ‘deadbeat’ father, noting that he has missed several Father’s Days and cannot recall the last time he saw his son. He also shared personal details regarding the child’s conception, stating that Chozen was conceived via IVF following a previous miscarriage, for which Choppa claims to have paid for the treatment and midwife.

Choppa explained that the child’s middle name, Wone, signifies that he is a miracle who is already ‘winning’ in life, while the ‘one’ refers to the IVF process. The rapper indicated that legal proceedings are upcoming, stating, ‘court coming up and God don’t like ugly.’
