NMB48 member Rei Haga has officially withdrawn from the idol group as of September 26, 2026. The group's management announced that while Haga had been on hiatus since July 3 due to poor health, discussions regarding her return led to the discovery of actions that violated the agency's activity rules.

Following the official announcement, unverified claims surfaced on social media via an account known as ‘DEATHDOL NOTE’. The account shared images alleging Haga was involved in financial disputes with fans and maintained private contact with them. While the management has not specified the nature of the rule violations, they have pledged to review their guidance and management systems to prevent recurrence.

Haga, a 9th-generation member from Hyogo Prefecture, was considered a rising star within the group. She recently released her first photobook and had been featured in several recent singles. In a statement, she apologized to her fans, saying, ‘I am truly sorry. To everyone who was waiting for my return, I am so sorry.’
