Nîmes Métropole introduces new public transport experiments

Nîmes Métropole is launching two distinct experimental programs for its TANGO public transport network.

Starting October 26, the T1, T2, and T3 bus lines will test a ‘request-stop’ service (descente à la demande) after 8:00 PM. This six-month trial allows passengers to request to be dropped off between scheduled stops to provide more personalized service.

Additionally, a separate one-year experiment will begin on November 7, offering free bus travel across the entire network every Saturday. This initiative aims to encourage residents to use public transit instead of cars, support local businesses in town centers, and allow users to explore the network without cost.
