Němčovice bus stop enters Czech Record Database
The Pařezová chaloupka, a unique bus stop designed to look like a giant tree stump, has been officially entered into the Czech Record Database. Located in Němčovice, the structure stands over five meters tall and features a distinctive curved chimney.
Inspired by the drawings of Zdeněk Smetana, the artist behind the iconic animated series Křemílek and Vochomůrka, the bus stop serves as both a shelter for travelers and a local tourist attraction. The construction was officially opened in June 2019 in the presence of actress Jiřina Bohdalová. The interior is decorated with oak carvings of gnomes created by sculptor Ivan Šmíd.
