NNPC Limited reports improved performance in 2025 audited statements

NNPC Limited has published its 2025 Audited Financial Statements (AFS), marking a shift toward greater commercial orientation and transparency for Nigeria’s national oil company. The reports indicate improvements in operational performance, earnings capacity, and cash generation, alongside a strategic repositioning of the company's portfolio toward higher-quality revenue streams.

Independent auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) issued an unmodified audit opinion on both the consolidated and separate financial statements. This opinion concludes that the statements fairly present the financial position, performance, and cash flows of the Group and the Company in accordance with applicable reporting frameworks. The company’s profit after tax reportedly increased by approximately 33 percent, despite a challenging revenue environment.
