NNW International Film Festival announces initial selections

The 18th NNW International Film Festival, scheduled to take place in Gdynia from October 1 to 4, 2026, has announced its initial selections. The festival features four main competitions: International Feature Film, International Documentary, Polish Documentary, and Radio Reportage.

In the Radio Reportage category, 15 reports from across Poland have been selected. Among them are two works from Radio Gdańsk: ‘Bajki ze Stutthofu’ by Alicja Samolewicz-Jeglicka, which tells the story of Halina Banasiak writing fairy tales in the Stutthof concentration camp, and ‘Trzy wyroki śmierci według Hanki Reszczyńskiej’ by Piotr Puchalski.

The festival will host screenings, debates, and meetings with creators and historical witnesses at locations including the Gdynia Film Center and the Naval Museum. Admission to the festival events is expected to be free.
