No Man's Sky to launch on iPhone and iPad on October 28
Hello Games has announced that its space exploration title, No Man’s Sky, will launch on iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026. The mobile version is a comprehensive port that includes over 40 major content updates accumulated over the last decade, such as COSMOS and Voyagers.
To maintain a small download size of under 5 GB, the game utilizes its signature procedural generation to create the universe on the device in real time. The port leverages Apple’s MetalFX technology and M-series chips to achieve graphics comparable to console versions. It will be compatible with devices as far back as the iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air.
While the port offers a full experience, there are some limitations: multiplayer mode is not supported on iOS, and the Planetary Settlements feature is restricted to iPhone 15 Pro models and newer. Players can use redesigned touchscreen controls or connect external controllers, mice, and keyboards. The game will feature a “try before you buy” model, offering a free initial trial before requiring a single purchase to unlock the full game.
