No More Room in Hell 2 sees player surge after full release

Torn Banner Studios has released the full 1.0 version of the cooperative zombie shooter, No More Room in Hell 2, titled ‘Armageddon’. Following its transition from Early Access on August 11, 2026, the game has seen a significant resurgence in both player engagement and critical reception.

Previously, the title faced challenges during its Early Access period on Steam, with player counts dropping to approximately 400 concurrent users and reviews being merely ‘mixed’. Since the full release, player numbers have surged, reaching a peak of over 15,000 concurrent users, and recent reviews have shifted to ‘mostly positive’.

The gameplay emphasizes survival and vulnerability rather than traditional power fantasies. Up to eight players can cooperate to face zombie hordes across four difficulty levels. Players manage ‘Responders’, characters that can level up to unlock special abilities; however, the game maintains high stakes, as character death results in the permanent loss of all progress made with that character.
