The City of Porto Alegre is hosting a webinar on October 15 to present a bidding process for drainage and urban requalification works in the 4th District. Part of the POA Futura program and co-financed by the World Bank and the French Development Agency, the project includes the construction of a new rainwater pumping station with a capacity of 19,000 liters per second, 3.6 kilometers of galleries, a buffer basin at Praça São Geraldo, and the requalification of 20 public spaces.
In Curitiba, the municipal government will hold a public meeting on October 13 to discuss the construction of a new trench on Avenida Prefeito Lothário Meissner in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood. The R$ 68 million project, funded primarily by the State Secretariat of Cities, aims to eliminate a signalized intersection to improve traffic flow and reduce travel times. The works are expected to be completed by April 2028 and will include access ramps and urban improvements across ten streets.
