No unified headline: separate teacher salary updates in Spain and Peru

In Murcia, Spain, public school teachers with twelve years of service are scheduled to begin receiving the second tier of professional career supplements in April 2027. According to the ANPE-FSES union, the specific amounts and procedures for this supplement will be negotiated starting November 3. This second tier is intended for educators who have completed two six-year periods of service.

In Peru, the Ministry of Education (Minedu) has announced salary increases for more than 11,000 higher education teachers in technological and artistic sectors. Under Supreme Decree No. 233-2026-EF, new monthly remuneration amounts for appointed and contracted teachers in technological institutes and artistic training schools will take effect in November 2026. The measure aims to progressively improve remunerative conditions for public higher education staff nationwide.
