The Hospital de Órbigo in Spain has acquired a portable Vscan ultrasound machine, funded entirely by municipal resources. This investment of approximately 8,000 euros is the first of its kind in Castilla y León, aimed at improving primary care in rural areas. The device allows family doctors to perform clinical examinations with real-time imaging during consultations and can be transported to the homes of elderly or mobility-impaired patients, reducing the need for travel to León.

In Neuquén, Argentina, the provincial government has launched a free telephone pediatric consultation service. Managed by the Integrated Emergency System of Neuquén (SIEN), the service provides medical guidance for children and adolescents aged 0 to 16. Available Monday through Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, the service uses phone calls and potentially video calls to offer professional orientation, helping families in remote or rural areas avoid unnecessary travel to health centers.
