Noa Lang linked to potential return to Dutch football

Napoli winger Noa Lang is being linked with a move back to the Netherlands during the winter transfer window. After struggling to secure a consistent starting role under manager Massimiliano Allegri, speculation has grown regarding the 27-year-old's future in Serie A.

Two major Dutch clubs, Ajax and PSV, are reportedly interested in the Oranje international. PSV, where Lang played from 2023 to 2025 and secured two league titles, is said to be interested in a loan deal with an option to buy. Ajax, the club where Lang made his professional debut, also expressed interest last summer, though a 25 million euro asking price from Napoli proved to be a barrier.

Napoli purchased Lang from PSV in the summer of 2025 for 25 million euros. Should he return to Ajax in a future transfer, PSV is entitled to a 10 percent commission on the transfer fee. It remains unclear what transfer fee Napoli will demand in January, though the club may seek to minimize losses on the player.
