Noa Skoko: Croatian talent faces potential move to Australia

Josip Šimunić has issued a warning to the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) regarding the potential loss of young talent Noa Skoko to the Australian national team. Skoko, a midfielder currently on loan from Hajduk Split to Rudeš, holds dual citizenship and has drawn significant interest from Australian football authorities.

Šimunić described the 2006-born player as a “fantastic player” with “great potential” who is currently demonstrating his abilities through consistent playing time. Born in England and developed in the Hajduk Split academy, Skoko was notably part of the junior squad that reached the UEFA Youth League final in 2023.

Given Skoko's eligibility to represent both Croatia and Australia, Šimunić urged the HNS to act proactively to secure the player's future with the Croatian national team.
