NOAA specifies that no G1-class geomagnetic storms or higher are expected through September 13. The Kp index values for September 12 are projected to fluctuate between 1.0 and 2.67, with peaks occurring between 03:00–06:00 UTC and 06:00–09:00 UTC. These levels are well below the threshold of Kp 5, which marks the beginning of a G1 “weak” geomagnetic storm.
