Noah Adams, longtime NPR 'All Things Considered' host, dies at 84
Noah Adams, a veteran host of the NPR news program ‘All Things Considered,’ has died at the age of 84. He passed away on October 16 at his home in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Adams served as a host for the weekday edition of the program for 18 years, beginning in 1982. During his tenure, he covered significant historical events including the fall of the Berlin Wall and the September 11 terrorist attacks. He was noted by colleagues for a reporting style that prioritized unscripted, sincere conversations with everyday people over prepared political figures.
His wife, NPR news producer Neenah Ellis, stated that his death resulted from complications related to a benign brain tumor that had been removed eight years prior. Adams joined NPR in the mid-1970s after working at the University of Kentucky’s public radio station.
