Noah Adedeji-Sternberg discusses failed Club Brugge transfer
KRC Genk winger Noah Adedeji-Sternberg has opened up about the emotional toll of his failed summer transfer to Club Brugge. Despite reaching a personal agreement with Brugge to potentially succeed Christos Tzolis, Genk intervened to block the move, as the club had not been involved in the initial negotiations.
The 21-year-old expressed that the situation was exhausting and left him with mixed feelings, particularly because the inability to play prevented him from responding to criticism on the pitch. He noted that while he understands why supporters whistled him, the period of being sidelined was difficult.
Adedeji-Sternberg stated that he has now turned the page and feels that trust has been restored between himself, the club, and the fans. While he remains focused on giving his all for Genk, he noted that he would not refuse the opportunity to play at a higher level should suitable offers arise in the future.
