Noah Atubolu poised for Premier League transfer as Freiburg set fee
Germany‑Nigeria goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, 24, is expected to leave SC Freiburg for a move to England’s Premier League. He has refused a contract extension despite being tied to Freiburg until 2027, and the club has placed him on a separate training regimen ahead of a summer exit. Atubolu's valuation is around €25 million, reflecting his €25 million release price with two years left on his deal.
Interest from Premier League clubs is focused on Aston Villa and Bournemouth, while Hull City, Coventry City and Juventus have been reported as having been turned down. The goalkeeper aims to join a more established English side, and Freiburg expects the transfer to be completed before the end of July.
Atubolu was part of Freiburg’s run to the UEFA Europa League final and kept ten clean sheets in the 2024‑25 season. He remains eligible for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, making the move significant for both German and Nigerian football contexts.
