Noah Centineo provides update on Netflix's Gundam movie

Noah Centineo has provided new details regarding the upcoming live-action Mobile Suit Gundam film for Netflix. During an appearance on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Centineo confirmed that production wrapped in late July.

Centineo, who stars alongside Sydney Sweeney, described the film as a “big action-romance space movie,” comparing the narrative tone to a “non-Shakespearean Romeo and Juliet in space.” He confirmed the story is set within the franchise’s primary timeline, the Universal Century, though specific plot details and character appearances remain under wraps.

The production, directed by Jim Mickle, also features Jason Isaacs, Michael Mando, Shioli Kutsuna, and Nonso Anozie. While Netflix has not yet announced an official release date, the completion of filming suggests further updates may arrive in the coming months.
