Noah Lyons leads Men’s qualification at iQFOiL World Championships
The 2026 MUSTO iQFOiL World Championships qualification series has concluded following a day of light and unstable winds. In the Men’s fleet, racing was delayed by fluctuating pressure and multiple general recalls, lasting over four hours. Noah Lyons of the USA secured the top position in the qualification series with 49 points after recording two consecutive race wins.
Luuc van Opzeeland (NED) follows in second place with 65 points, narrowly ahead of Johan Søe (DEN) in third. The top ten qualifiers for the Medal Series include Nicolas Goyard (FRA), Kiran Badloe (NED), Tom Reuveny (ISR), Nicolò Renna (ITA), Yoav Omer (ISR), Grae Morris (AUS), and Federico Alan Pilloni (ITA).
The Women’s fleet was unable to complete any races due to insufficient wind stability. Consequently, the standings from the previous day remain the final rankings for the qualification series, with Tamar Steinberg maintaining her lead. The top ten women will advance to the Medal Series scheduled for Saturday.
