Noah Monteiro targets Formula 1 debut by 2030

Portuguese racing driver Noah Monteiro, the current leader of the Spanish Formula 4 championship, has set a goal to reach Formula 1 by approximately 2030. The 16-year-old, son of former F1 driver Tiago Monteiro, outlined a developmental roadmap involving successive steps through Eurocup, Formula 3, and Formula 2.

Monteiro highlighted significant financial challenges as a primary obstacle to his ambitions. He noted that obtaining support within Portugal is difficult, which has led him to seek international partnerships. He stated, "With Government support we would have more chances. If we don't, we will have to find other ways, but I don't control that."

Currently driving for Griffin Core by Campos, Monteiro attributes his recent consistency and championship lead to improved psychological preparation. While he has received offers for the 2027 Eurocup-3 and FRECA competitions, he remains focused on securing the current Spanish F4 title.
