Noah Penda expected to miss significant time with hamstring injury

Orlando Magic forward Noah Penda is expected to miss “significant time” after suffering a partially torn right hamstring during the team’s preseason finale against the Miami Heat. No specific recovery timetable has been established, as Penda’s return will depend on his response to treatment.

The injury comes as the Magic prepare for their regular-season opener against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. In addition to Penda, the team is monitoring the status of Franz Wagner, who left Friday’s game due to right shoulder soreness, and second-year guard Jase Richardson, who is considered day-to-day with low back soreness.
