Noah Redden gains support in Winnipeg mayoral race
Noah Redden, a 27-year-old software developer running for mayor of Winnipeg for the first time, has seen a significant increase in polling support ahead of the upcoming election. According to a recent Abacus Data survey, Redden’s support rose from 4% in September to 14%, placing him in a tie for third place with candidate Mike Vogiatzakis.
Redden has run a grassroots campaign focused on social media to compensate for a smaller budget compared to opponents like incumbent Scott Gillingham and Kevin Klein. His platform emphasizes improved public transit and increased support for individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction.
While Gillingham remains the frontrunner with 36% support among decided voters, Redden noted that his recent jump in popularity indicates his message is resonating with residents. Klein currently holds second place with 19% support.
