Noah Wyle recalls childhood encounter with Eddie Murphy

Actor Noah Wyle shared an anecdote on the “Good Hang With Amy Poehler” podcast regarding a blunt encounter with comedian Eddie Murphy during Wyle's childhood.

Wyle, who was nine years old at the time, recalled asking Murphy for an autograph after expressing his admiration for Murphy’s work on “Saturday Night Live.” According to Wyle, Murphy responded to the request by telling him to “f--- off, man.”

Wyle noted that the experience inspired a personal rule to always accommodate young fans, stating that he will quickly sign autographs for any nine-year-old who asks. He also shared a lighthearted story about his daughter, who gifted him a framed, misspelled note from Eddie Murphy to celebrate the memory.
