Noah Wyle recounts childhood encounter with Eddie Murphy

Actor Noah Wyle shared a story on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast regarding a childhood encounter with Eddie Murphy. Wyle recalled approaching the comedian to ask for an autograph after expressing admiration for his work on Saturday Night Live.

Wyle alleged that Murphy responded by asking why he was awake so late and then used an expletive to dismiss him. The actor stated that the experience influenced his approach to fans, noting that he makes a point to sign autographs for children quickly.

Wyle added that the story has become a running joke within his family. For his birthday, his daughter presented him with a framed picture of Murphy featuring a mock autograph addressed to him.
