Noakhali: Nine teenagers detained after political slogans on pickup

In the Senbag Upazila of Noakhali, nine teenagers were detained by police after being intercepted by local Chhatra Dal activists. The incident occurred near Sebarhat Bazar on a Friday evening.

The youths were reportedly riding in a pickup truck and chanting ‘Joy Bangla’ slogans along the Feni-Noakhali highway. Chhatra Dal leaders pursued the vehicle on motorcycles and detained the group. Local reports indicate that the teenagers were physically assaulted during the confrontation before being handed over to the police. Authorities confirmed the detainees are between 15 and 17 years old and stated that legal proceedings are underway.
