Nobu Hotel opens first Madrid location

Nobu Hospitality has inaugurated its first hotel in Madrid, located on Calle Alcalá. The boutique establishment features 50 rooms and suites, including a 105-square-meter Nobu Suite with a private terrace. The property is housed in a 1960s modernist building that formerly served as the headquarters for Banco Popular.

The hotel emphasizes a culinary-centric experience, anchored by the Nobu Restaurant which specializes in Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences, a signature style created by chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Additional dining and social spaces include a cocktail bar, a lobby lounge, and a rooftop terrace. The interior design was a collaborative effort between Studio Gronda and Studio Caramba.

Founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper, the brand has expanded from its 1994 restaurant origins into a global luxury hospitality group. The Madrid opening marks the brand's fifth location in Spain, joining existing properties in San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella, and Ibiza.
