NOC Indonesia appoints Ita Yuliati as Chef de Mission for Dakar 2026

The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) has appointed Ita Yuliati as the Chef de Mission (CdM) for the Indonesian contingent at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Dakar, Senegal. The appointment, formalized via Decree Number 18/NOC-INA/KE/2026, highlights a focus on women's leadership, as 90 percent of the CdM team members are female.

Indonesia will send a balanced contingent of 12 athletes, consisting of six males and six females, competing across nine sports: athletics, swimming, badminton, cycling, equestrian, judo, skateboarding, triathlon, and wushu.

As part of the preparations, Ita Yuliati has begun monitoring athlete readiness, including a visit to young swimmer Michelle Surjadi Fang at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium. Fang, a bronze medalist at the 2025 Asian Youth Games, is considered one of Indonesia's top prospects for the upcoming games, which are scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 13, 2026.
