Pizzeria Owner Daniele Lanzara Decries Night Theft in Nocera Inferiore

A night theft took place at the La Borgata pizzeria in Nocera Inferiore, Salerno Province, Italy, when a young intruder entered through a window using a glass‑container ladder and stole only a few coins from the till.

Owner Daniele Lanzara posted photographs of the suspect captured by the shop’s CCTV on social media, asking the local community to help identify the thief. In his long message he warned that such burglaries have become common across the city, affecting apartments, supermarkets, banks and small businesses, creating a feeling of “hands tied” and rising impunity.

Lanzara cited the 2021 case of jeweller Mario Roggero – a violent retaliation after a robbery – to illustrate how perceived lack of protection can provoke extreme reactions. He urged authorities to improve security for merchants and residents.
