Nocera Umbra Palio adds lights, screens and theater shows for 31st edition

The 31st edition of the Palio dei Quartieri in Nocera Umbra runs from 3 to 9 August 2026. Organisers have upgraded the historic parade with new illumination and large screens along the route, and introduced a digital interactive map to help tourists navigate the event. Alley‑way theatrical animations have been redesigned to accommodate larger audiences, and professional chronometry will be used for the traditional Dama Infedele race.

A new Saturday evening programme will feature each quarter presenting its own theatre performance before the awarding of the Special Prize, giving the public a second chance to see the shows. Mayor Virginio Caparvi and Palio president Alessandro Coccia highlighted the upgrades as a way to attract younger visitors and broaden the festival’s reach.
