Noctua and Prusa Research Launch Heat‑Resistant PETG Filaments

Noctua and Prusa Research have introduced PETG 3‑D‑printing filaments in the company’s signature beige and brown colours. The new material expands the existing PLA lineup, offering greater temperature resistance—suitable for environments above 50 °C—and higher mechanical toughness.

The filaments are aimed at custom PC components such as fan ducts, brackets, case accessories, electronic enclosures and other parts that may be exposed to high heat. They are produced in‑house by Prusa Research at its Prague facility and meet a tight diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm. Each 1 kg spool is priced at €32.99 (USD 32.99) and can be purchased through Prusa’s online store.

Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua, said the company has already seen “amazing projects” made with the earlier PLA versions and expects the PETG offering to enable even more robust and thermally stable prints.
