Noelia Báez in intensive care following bariatric surgery complications

Noelia Báez, wife of former ‘Cuestión de Peso’ participant Luis Zerda, is in intensive care at Hospital Posadas due to severe malnutrition and dehydration. Her condition stems from complications following a bariatric surgery performed in 2025.

Zerda reported that Noelia has been hospitalized for eight days and has seen no improvement, noting that she is no longer able to walk. Medical professionals are attempting to manage her condition, but they cannot yet remove the gastric bypass because she is too unstable. She is currently being fed via a central line, though complications including infection and an inability to tolerate food have further complicated her recovery.
