Noemi Impellizzeri autopsy confirms homicide by strangulation
An autopsy has confirmed that the death of Noemi Impellizzeri in Riposto was a homicide caused by strangulation. Investigators believe the scene, which initially appeared to be a suicide by hanging followed by a house fire, was staged to mislead the investigation.
Medical examinations revealed that Impellizzeri showed signs of strangulation distinct from typical hanging marks. Furthermore, the absence of smoke in her nostrils and trachea suggests she was already deceased when the fire broke out.
Tony Proietto remains the sole suspect in the case. He was the last person to see the victim alive and had previously reported finding her apartment in flames after leaving to find her family.
