Noemie Fox and Evy Leibfarth Win Silver at 2026 World Canoe Slalom Championships in Oklahoma City

Australian kayak cross champion Noemie Fox captured silver in the women’s Kayak Cross at the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Oklahoma City, finishing behind Switzerland’s Alena Marx. It was Fox’s first individual World Championship medal and she described the achievement as feeling “like gold.”

In the women’s kayak event, 22‑year‑old American Evy Leibfarth earned a silver medal, narrowly beaten by fellow Australian Jessica Fox, who took gold. The championships drew about 250 athletes from 50 countries to the man‑made OKC Riversport course, noted for its demanding gates and high‑speed wave sections.

Australian paddlers also secured a gold in the women’s kayak cross, with Jessica Fox winning the event, while other Australian competitors such as Merle Long and Tim Anderson posted solid finishes in the men’s races.
