A 34-year-old man, identified as Juan Carlos “N”, has been linked to a criminal process in Nogales, Sonora, for the violent theft of property. The incident occurred on October 20, 2026, in the Esperanza neighborhood.

According to investigative data, municipal police officers observed the suspect on Puerto Rico Street using a 12-inch metal hacksaw to cut approximately 11 meters of black-coated copper cable belonging to Teléfonos de México (Telmex).

Following a judicial hearing, the court ruled the arrest legal and granted the prosecution's request to link the individual to the process. The judge imposed justified preventive detention, and a two-month period has been established to complete the complementary investigation.
